We had an awesome day on Saturday and I’m pretty sure every Duck and Beaver fan in the state of Oregon now knows what the Defenders stand for! Thanks to Salem Harley Davidson, Stewarts Leathers, Tad’s and Latus Harley Davidson for all their support and encouragement. And a HUGE thank you to Tim Alexander and Peninsula Truck Lines for partnering with us once again. The Defenders are proud to ride with you!
With the recent passage of tougher laws in Washington state, child-sex trafficking is now likely to shift south to Oregon where current laws are easier on men who buy and sell little girls for sex. As men of the Pacific Northwest, we’re not willing to stand for this, so we’re riding to Salem to let our legislators know that Oregonians care about protecting the innocence of kids too.
Our first ride in July sent a strong message around the Pacific Northwest that KIDS ARE NOT FOR SALE. But the battle isn’t over, so we’re turning our focus to Oregon. Like those in Washington St. Oregon leaders know that much has to be done to protect the innocence of our kids. They’re on the right track and we’re riding to encourage their ongoing efforts and to give our support in continuing the fight.
On Saturday, October 2nd, bikers from around the region will gather in downtown Portland. We’ll ride from there to Salem; straight down I-5 and return via Oregon Hwy 213.
Stand with us.
Ride with us.
